Our Terrazzo Restoration Process

Grinding

We start by removing the damaged surface layer with Metal Dot Diamond Infused Pads. Working through a 30, 60, and then 120 grit progression, we grind away scratches, stains, and years of wear until the floor is flat, even, and ready for the next stage. Any chips or cracks are filled with color-matched material during this phase, so repairs blend seamlessly into the surrounding terrazzo rather than standing out.

Honing

Once the surface is level, honing refines it. We move through progressively finer diamond abrasives, smoothing the terrazzo and sharpening the depth of the aggregate underneath. This is where the floor stops looking damaged and starts looking like terrazzo again, with color and texture becoming clear and even across the entire surface.

Polishing

Polishing is where the transformation is most visible. Using Diamond Infused Resins ranging from 50 grit up to as high as 3000 grit, we bring the terrazzo to a natural, glass-like shine. This shine comes entirely from the stone itself, not from a coating laid on top. There’s no wax involved at any point, which means the finished floor shows terrazzo exactly as it was meant to look.

Sealing

The final step is protection. We offer an oil-based sealer for deep penetration and a long-lasting sheen, a water-based acrylic sealer for lighter day-to-day protection, a sealer crystallizer for maximum shine and an airport-grade finish, and a densifying treatment that hardens the floor and can extend its protection past 10 years in high-traffic areas. We’ll help you choose the right option based on how the space is used.

Floor Restoration & Polishing Specialists

Coast to Coast Terrazzo Restoration doesn’t just restore terrazzo. We’re a full-service floor restoration company, and terrazzo happens to be where we’ve built our deepest expertise. Alongside terrazzo, we grind, hone, and polish Mexican, Spanish, and Saltillo tile, marble, travertine, and limestone, and we transform old carpeted concrete into modern polished concrete floors. If it’s a hard surface floor that’s lost its shine, there’s a good chance we can bring it back.

That range matters for a county like Jackson, where homes span everything from historic properties in Marianna to newer construction throughout the surrounding communities. Whatever material is underfoot, our crews know how to read the specific floor in front of them and choose the right grit progression, the right technique, and the right finish for that material rather than treating every job the same.

Why go with us:

We use a wet grind and wet polish process across every material we touch, which means the shine we produce comes from the floor itself, not a topical coating that will eventually yellow, scuff, or need stripping. That’s a meaningful difference over the life of the floor, and it’s part of why our results hold up.

We handle chip, crack, and hole repair as part of the restoration, not as an upsell. A floor that looks new but still has structural damage underneath isn’t finished, so we take care of both.

We offer real sealing options, from oil-based and water-based acrylic sealers to a crystallizer for maximum shine and a densifying treatment for high-traffic commercial spaces, and we help you pick the right one instead of applying a one-size-fits-all coating.

We’re a certified stone floor care company with decades of combined experience, and we’ve built our reputation on 5.0-star reviews from homeowners and businesses across Florida who’ve trusted us with everything from a single bathroom to an entire commercial building.

We service Jackson County directly, alongside the rest of the state, so you’re working with a company that shows up, communicates clearly, and treats your floor like it’s the only job on the schedule that day.
